Lots of excitement and competing attractions this week!
On Thursday evening, we held our Mither Tap race. Unusually, only Cosmic ran the race - Kevin Heath who was 2nd MV60. The rest were all out marshalling the course. The winners were Joseph Battershill and Isla Mackay, both representing Moray Road Runners.
The big local event on Saturday was the new Aberdeen Half Marathon. There was a great atmosphere with loads of support on the course and a nice temperature for running. Cosmics Ally Sutherland, Rory MacPherson, Alan Cormack, Alan Dick, Tina McLeod, Graeme Lornie, Kerry Davidson, Lyndsay McEwan and Stuart Ritchie were among the 2,492 finishers.
Further west, the hotly contested hill race was Tom Na Bat with 127 finishers at the Tomintoul Highland Games. First Cosmic was Fiona MacDonald in 54th place and 4th FV50 followed by Colin Lamour, Dennis MacDonald and Phil Kammer. Samantha MacDonald was 6 places in front of her mother and 5th Senior.
