I thought this might be a quiet week but not at all. There were medals!
Not sure if anyone did the Tuesday run to Bennachie, but Annaelle Harris-Logie and Rob Jobling took part in the Windermere Triathlon (Olympic distance) and they both came 3rd in their age category - a fantastic result!
Saturday parkruns were:
Hazlehead - Ewen Rennie
Aberdeen - Rory MacPherson (PB) and Ally Sutherland
Stonehaven - Graeme Lornie and Gary Gutteridge
Crathes Castle - Alan Dick
The magnificent ultrarunners were also in action on Saturday. Alan Cormack completed the Great Glen Ultra (keeping his ever-present status) which ran from Fort William to Inverness for an amazing 13th time. Lyndsay McEwan and Paul McLeod did the short(er) course starting at Fort Augustus of 39 miles. It seems there is a fantastically decorated "princess chair" at the last checkpoint. I have to say none of the 3 looked in the least bit tired after!
Jason Williamson was over in Lochaber doing the Meall an t-Suidhe and Half Ben Races on Saturday and Sunday. He will be doing the 3rd race of the "Triple Hirple", the Cow Hill Race on Monday evening.
