Cosmic Medal Monday - 27th April 2026

April 2026

And it was medal galore!

The first ones were earned on Saturday by Nicola Edward, Tina McLeod and Terri Walker doing the Devil o' the Highlands which is 42 miles and 1834m of climbing from Tyndrum to Fort William along the West Highland Way. Tina finished 10hrs 19mins 1sec. Terri and Nicola ran together in 11hrs 41mins 43secs. It was a lovely day but rather warm for running.

The next to get their medal was Alan Cormack who actually started first but the event was the Thames Ring 250 and he finished in 96hrs 13mins 48secs. This was a somewhat bijou event with 13 finishers and it is the 3rd time Alan has completed it.

On Sunday, we had 2 runners taking part in London Marathon. Kat Lancaster finished in 5hrs 2mins and Lyndsay McEwan finished in 5hrs 42mins. It was very hot and cups of ice were being provided at some aid stations. Among the spectacles were Daddy Pig (Peppa's Dad), Thomas the Tank Engine and a man carrying a fridge on his back. The race saw Sabastian Sawe running the first ever official sub 2 hour marathon in 1hr 59mins 30secs.

Also on Sunday. the Cosmic run to Benaquhaille had perfect conditions, 13.2k and 377m climb.
