Cosmic Medal Monday - 20th April 2026

April 2026

This may be a quieter period after the excitement of 2 Cosmic races in one week and looking forward to big events next weekend.

Saturday parkruns were:

Hazlehead - Sam Gomersall, Lesley Gomersall and Ewen Rennie

Aberdeen - Lyndsay McEwan and Alan Cormack

Cleremont Waterfront (USA) - Graeme Lornie

Also on Saturday, we celebrated Veronique Oldham as first F50 and also her daughter Kirsty as 3rd lady (a hill running dynasty in the making) in the Ben Chonzie Hill Race. This race is the first for this year's SHR Championship and is also one of the Scottish Long Classics series.

It was a beautiful morning on Sunday for the Cosmic run. One man, three women and a dog did 5 tops of Bennachie. Meanwhile, Shayne Lilith-Moon did the Fleetfeet Westhill Duathlon (Run - Bike - Run).

Cosmics have been training hard for big events next weekend. Nicola Edward, Tina McLeod, Paul McLeod and Terri Walker are aiming to complete Devil o' the Highlands on Saturday which is 42 miles from Tyndrum to Fort William along the West Highland Way. On Sunday, taking on the London Marathon, we have Kat Lancaster who won the Cosmic club place at the AGM and Lyndsay McEwan who is running to raise fund for Alopecia UK. We wish them all the best of luck.

Coming Up:

Saturday 21st April - Devil o' the Highlands

Sunday 25th April - London Marathon

Sunday 26th April - Cosmic Sunday Run - Corrennie Moor and Benaquhallie

Tuesday 28th April - Cosmic Run - Learney Hill
