Cosmic Medal Monday - 6th April 2026

April 2026

The week started off well, glorious weather om Tuesday evening for Cosmic training at Brimmond (the first session out in the country after the clock went forward) but it was all change for the Easter weekend with the approach of Storm Dave on Saturday evening. Even wilder than last weekend back back to snow in some areas.

Surprisingly, few took park in parkrun:

Hazlehead - Ewen Rennie

Didcot - Kevin Heath

Alan Cormack ran the Balmoral 10k in 49:26 and Lyndsay McEwan did the Balmoral 5k AND 10k (31:46 and 1:04:10) showing remarkable pace judgement and consistency and this was one of the snowy places!

The route for the Sunday 15 mile trail race was changed to two laps of the 10k course due to the conditions but these conditions did not deter the Cosmic Sunday Run going to the top of Carnferg, although looking at the picture of people sheltering at the top, it must have been windy.

Annaelle Harris-Logie and Robert Jobling battled the wind to complete the Moray Marathon. Robert finished in a new PB of 3:13, 16th overall and 6th MV40. Annaelle finished in 3:41 and 9th Female overall
