Chris Smith Memorial Run 28 August

Chris Smith, raised in Daviot, represented Team GB in mountain running championships. In his memory, his friends, working alongside Daviot Community Trust, have created a Memorial in the grounds of Daviot Estate as a place that local families and future generations can enjoy. The run will be followed by the official opening of the Memorial.
The run is being held on Daviot Community Trust land and the neighbouring Daviot House Estate in the village of Daviot, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
Number Pick Up: Will take place from 12.00pm to1.30pm on the day of the run.
Start Time: The run will start promptly at 2pm.
Route: The scenic, undulating, 5km route is 2 laps on a mixture of grass, gravel paths and tarmac roads.
Toilets and Changing: Limited portable toilets will be available near the start/finish. No changing facilities or showers are available, so please turn up ready to run.
Car Parking: Car parking will be in a field near to the start of the event. The car park entrance will be on the minor road that runs past Kirkdale Nursery (AB51 0JL).
Online Entry and Entry Fees: Entry for the 5km are available only online at Entry Central
Entry fees are £10.
Minimum Age for 5km: 14 Years Old.
No entry for the 5km on the day.
Entries will close at midnight 26 August 2021. EntryCentral will show the race as 'Closed' after this time.
Momento: To all particpants. No individual prizes.

Refreshments: Will be availabe to purchase with *CASH ONLY* (no cards) thanks to The Smiddy Bar and The Shop at Daviot. Raffle in aid of Daviot Community Trust will be held on the day.
