Dunecht and Barmekin

This circular walk begins by following tarmac lanes and tracks through the Dunecht Estate, giving views of the great country house as well as over the Policy Loch. The walk then continues with a moorland climb up to the remains of the iron-age hillfort on the summit of Barmekin Hill, with good views over the Aberdeenshire countryside.
Parking is only at the entrance to the estate if there isnt any space then park further along the main road.
