From Dinnet follow the A97 Huntly road and then the minor road that is signposted to Groddie. The Groddie turn is about 8km from Dinnet.

The Full Morven course (8km, 640m climb) takes a direct route up Morven above the ruined cottage of Balhennie, starting on the walker’s access path by the roadside. It follows good tracks all the way and will be marked. The initial steep section above Balhennie is avoided on the descent by the gentler landrover track which descends diagonally NE to Balhennie from the coll below Roar Hill (ref 395033).

Safety – Minimum kit recommendations:- Full body cover to be carried. Map, compass & whistle depending on conditions on the day.
Getting there: Travelling from Aberdeen, take either the A93 from Aberdeen to Dinnet or the B9119 via Tarland. From Dinnet follow the A97 Huntly road and then the minor road that is signposted to Groddie. The Groddie turn is about 8km from Dinnet.
