Chris Smith, raised in Daviot, represented Team GB in mountain running championships.
In his memory, his friends, working alongside Daviot Community Trust, have created a Memorial in the grounds of Daviot Estate as a place that local families and future generations can enjoy.
The run is being held on Daviot Community Trust land and the neighbouring Daviot House Estate in the village of Daviot, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. 27 August.See www.entrycentral.com for details.
