Apologies to Ewen Rennie and Graeme Lornie whose parkruns were missed last week.
Veronique Oldham took part in the Stuc a'Chroin Hill Race finishing 2nd F50. A great result on a long race over tough terrain and this has given Veronique an early lead in the Cosmic Elevation Challenge 2026.
The Cosmic Elevation Challenge commenced on Friday 1st May. The aim is to accumulate 982,0 metres of climb (between the whole team) before the end of August and to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland. It's a tough ask, so we could do with more team members to help achieve the goal. Message Annaelle or Gillian if you would like to join in, it's great fun. Incognito Hound has the distinction of registering the very first activity). After 4 days, we have done 17,960 metres with members running, walking and cycling.

The Dechmont 10kk Trail Race will incoprorate the inaugural Scottish Athletics East District Trail Championships. To be eligible for the championships, runners must be a current member of Scottish Athletics on the day and ideally should be a member at the time of entry. You must also fit one or more of the following criteria: reside or complete for a club or born in the East District
