Highland Cross

Congratulations to Colin, Elaine, Anita and Gillian who all finished the
highland cross recently. The weather was warm and the going good, until
Colin got a puncture… 676 finishers.

Islands and Castles Race

Well done to Rob Brookes, who, with his team, won the Islands and Castles race (link), held by Coquet Yacht Club in Northumberland.  There are no results on the website, so we'll have to take Rob's word for it!!
 
Sounds like a tough one, with 25 miles of running and 24 hours of sailing.

Well done to Ian Wilson in the Island Peaks Race.  The results (link) are hard to decypher, but I think he was 12th in class and 25th overall…

Cosmic Lamm(b)ing

COSMIC LAMM(b)ing

Some impressive results form various Cosmics who braved the heat and the flies (well midges anyway) to complete the Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon at Glenfinnan.

 

A Class Matt Brettle (with partner) 29th, just in front of Katy Boocock 30th

B Class Elaine Stewart and Sean O’Sullivan 38th

C Class Megan Macrae 12th, Peter Lawrence 79th

also Ian Hamilton 2nd in D class

Cosmic Families at Dunnydeer

Cosmic Families at Dunnydeer

 

The Dunnydeer hill race from Insch on Saturday 7th June was won in fine style by Jason Williamson (40 seconds clear of the next man).   Sonia Armitage was first woman in 4th place overall, followed by daughter Rachel Armitage in 5th place overall and first Junior female.  Rachel beat the first Junior male (Cameron Leel) who finiished in 7th place by 6 seconds!  Finally Harris Williamson finished in 17th place.
